Dan Dennis

 

Dan Dennis is President of the Dennis Corporation, a licensed engineering, surveying and construction management firm with offices throughout South Carolina. Mr. Dennis’ experience includes planning, design, inspection, construction management, program management, project management and expert witness testimony for many road and bridge projects.

 

Dan holds a Masters of Business Administration and a B. S. Degree in Civil Engineering from the Citadel College. He has served in the United States Army Reserve Officer Training Corps. He is licensed as a professional Engineer in SC, NC, GA, AL, LA, CT, MO, TN, VA, and WV; professional Land Surveyor in SC; National Council Records, and Expert Witness in SC.  In 2012, he was appointed by Governor Haley as Chairman of the Small Business Regulator Review Committee (SBRRC). In 2011, Dan was named as the 2011 South Carolina Small Business Person of the Year by the SBA and received his award from Karen Mils, SBA Administrator, at a ceremony in Washington DC.

 

Dan is active in his  community  and his involvement includes: Member of The Citadel School of Engineering Advisory Board; Member of the USC Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering Advisory Board; Member of the Board of Directors for the Greenwood Genetic Center, Member of the Board of Directors for the Columbia Empowerment Zone, Inc.; Member of the Board of Directors for the Camp Longridge Christian Retreat Center; President of the Governor’s Hill Homeowners Association and member of the Arsenal Hill Homeowners Association;  Support Parent for Family Connections of South Carolina, a non-profit organization helping parents of children with disabilities.
